Facial Development

We believe that dental health is interconnected with one’s overall health and well-being. Due to that belief, our approach to dentistry is different from most other doctors.

Many of the problems you seek a dentist for are just symptoms of an underlying problem. Dr. Grafman believes that treating the symptom is a temporary fix, which never really makes the problem go away.  With this approach, as we age, we start to see these symptoms multiply and get worse.

Examples of these symptoms may be as common as:

● Cavities –Once you get one, unless you treat the cause of it (which is much easier and less expensive that treating actual cavities) you will continue to get more year after year.
● TM Joint click or pain -if you do not find and treat the cause, it will only get worse, more difficult, and unpredictable to treat.
● Headaches, neck, and back aches - Many are related to how our upper and lower jaws function and how much stress they put on all the surrounding muscle as we chew, talk, or clench while sleeping.
● Poor quality sleep – In many cases, is related to our ability to breathe properly which is something we learn as infants.  In many cases, we learn improper breathing leading to numerous issues with improper development of the face, improper swallowing, sleep apnea, and a host of other problems.

Our goal is to help you find a better way to treat your symptoms and problems and we believe that will improve your well-being, your overall health, and your self-esteem.

In this effort, we employ the highest standards of dental care, but also focus on treatments for Cranio-Facial Pain,Temporal Mandibular Joint Dysfunction, and dental appliance therapy for sleep and breathing disorders (sleep apnea and snoring).
